A Guest Lecture delivered on “Principals of Pain Management” by Prof. Dilip Chander Dhasmana

A guest lecturer by Prof. Dr. D.C. Dhasmana, Vice-Principal of Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences was delivered on subject entitled, “Principals of Pain Management”, on 07th April, 2016 for the students of Paramedical Sciences (BPT, MLT, MM) in the Uttaranchal (PG) College of Bio-medical Sciences and Hospital.
Prof. DC Dhasmana has completed his MBBS and MD from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Prof. Dhasmana has more than 35 years of experience in teaching and research and also guided MD and PhD students. He is also a Chairperson of Animal Ethics Committee, Member of Research Advisory committee and Deputy Dean of Students affair of PG students. Prof. DC. Dhasmana is presently heading many important positions in medical sciences. He has published more than 62 national and international research papers.
During the presentation, Prof. Dhasmana has given a brief account on different types of muscles and body pains. Then, Dr. Dhasmana linked all the types of pains with their consequences with change in chemical compositions of body. Then, Dr. Dhasmana has explained how the pharmaceutical drugs are curing the pains and giving the relief to human body. There is physiotherapy treatments are also curing body pains such type of conclusion also drawn through his presentation. Paramedical Students got ample information on pain management by this presentation.
