Event Description

On 17th Febuary, 2016 Students of the Uttaranchal (PG) College of Bio-medical Sciences and Hospital were attended the function arranged by Uttarakhand Police at Police lines ground in the city. Around 52 students were actively participated from the different disciplines of college and made the function magnificent and colorful. The function was themed on the launching of mobile application by Uttarakhand police aimed to check the menace of drugs and peddlers. The program was begun in the morning and the center of attraction was the students and people present at the police lines ground were traditional games organized. The documentary at the same time projected the positive aspects if one adductive gave-up drugs.

Chief Minister Shri. Harish Rawat, who was the Chief Guest for the function, launched the application. He said,” The fight against drugs should not be regarded as a mission of policemen only but it is also responsibility of each individual, especially the youngsters, to say no to drugs. Before the speech, CM Shri. Harish Rawat visited to stall of UCBMSH and appreciated for college work in the Bio-medical sciences. Students and faculty got an opportunity to interact with CM Shri. Harish Rawat.

Later students participated in the athletics and presented a drama on drug addiction by youth and the side-effects of the same. Audience watched the drama and applauds on students’ performance.
