Department of Botany, UCBMS & H along with horticulture department organized an educational tour to Pinjore Garged, Chandigarh on dated 20th February 2016.
Total 43 students of M.Sc. Botany and B.Sc. Horticulture and four faculty members visited Pinjore Garden by college bus.
Pinjore Gardens also known as Pinjor Gardens or Yadavindra Gardens located in Pinjore, Panchkula district in the Indian state of Haryana.
The garden is in the village of Pinjore lie 22 km from Chandigarh on the Ambala-Shimla road.
It is an example of the Mughal Gardens style and It was created in the 17th century by architect Nawab Fidai Khan.
Pinjore Gardens renamed as ‘Yadavindra Garden’ in the memory of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh former of the princely state of Patiala.
“Shish Mahal, “Hawa Mahal, Rang Mahal and Jal Mahal” are the main attraction in pinjore garden
