Event Description
- Department of Botany, UCBMS & H along with horticulture department organized an educational tour to Pinjore Garged, Chandigarh on dated 20th February 2016.
- Total 43 students of M.Sc. Botany and B.Sc. Horticulture and four faculty members visited Pinjore Garden by college bus.
- Pinjore Gardens also known as Pinjor Gardens or Yadavindra Gardens located in Pinjore, Panchkula district in the Indian state of Haryana.
- The garden is in the village of Pinjore lie 22 km from Chandigarh on the Ambala-Shimla road.
It is an example of the Mughal Gardens style and It was created in the 17th century by architect Nawab Fidai Khan. - Pinjore Gardens renamed as ‘Yadavindra Garden’ in the memory of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh former of the princely state of Patiala.
- “Shish Mahal, “Hawa Mahal, Rang Mahal and Jal Mahal” are the main attraction in pinjore garden
